The brief on this beautiful barn style new-build property was to create an inviting entrance to access the main door, provide patio areas to the rear and side of the property, lighting, planting & other features.
Kandla Grey Indian sandstone paving was selected for the path & kitchen patio area, with fired-brick paving used for accent colour.
Planting at the front of the property was kept low maintenance, whilst enhancing the walkway & softening the entrance, with the use of hebes & lavenders amongst others.
A raised brick planter was created, to be the perfect place to grow a selection of herbs for use within the kitchen.
For the main patio area on the left side of the property, we selected a gorgeous ceramic paving, laid in a random style to suit the property, edged again with brick pavers.
A curved seat framed the end of the patio, with a custom-cut & designed sandstone capping. Attention to details like this, is something we take pride in.
A beautiful selection of shrubs & planting was used behind the curved seat to complete the setting.
To add some privacy, but to still allow some visibility to the front of the property, we’ve used a cedar batten screen. Cedar is a wonderful timber to use, it has a rich reddish-brown colour, which fades over time to a pleasing silvery-grey sheen. The original colour can be retained with the use of a UV blocking stain.
